How to collect connected Pokémon card artwork

Start with the illustration, then confirm the printing. The same Pokémon can appear on many cards with completely different artwork.

Match the number

Use the card number and set together. GG44 and SWSH262 identify different numbering systems, not rarity ranks.

Compare the scene

Some pairs share a scene or viewpoint; others tell a sequence. Connected artwork does not always form a seamless panorama.

Check each printing

Open each card to inspect its identity and available market price. A matching Pokémon name alone is not enough.

The grouping describes visual relationships in the artwork, not an official rarity or product category.
